Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses in Evidence-Based Medicine Workshop

The Institute of Public Health and the National Medical Library at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences of the United Arab Emirates University are organizing an intensive, two-day workshop under the title Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses in Evidence-Based Medicine. Taking place between May 2 and 3, 2019, this workshop will provide a theoretical framework and practical training on the key principles of systematic reviews and meta-analyses in the context of evidence-based practice and research.

The overall aim of the workshop is to enhance the knowledge of health care professionals and researchers to effectively criticize and utilize the best available evidence in health care using systematic reviews and meta-analyses.

The workshop is targeting health care professionals who have, or might have, a role in providing health care services including, but not limited to, treating patients, developing guidelines, practicing preventive medicine, providing health insurance services, working on health economy, and healthcare policy makers, at the sub-national or national levels.

The audience could be junior and senior health care professionals including:
